April 1, 2004Space Dream Factory and Warner Bros. Interactive announce the licensing of Babylon 5 video game titles! MOSCOW, RUSSIA; BURBANK, CA Space Dream Factory LLC and Warner Bros. Interactive, a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment, announce today that they have entered into a licensing agreement to develop videogames based on the hit TV series Babylon 5.
As part of the agreement, Russian developer Space Dream Factory LLC will develop videogames based on the TV series Babylon 5 and any spin-off series such as the upcoming Babylon 5: The Memory of Shadows. Space Dream Factory licensed the rights to develop Babylon 5 videogames from Warner Bros. Interactive.
Babylon 5 is one of televisions best-known science-fiction properties, garnering the genres best ratings in the United States as the No.1 series on the Sci-Fi Channel. It is broadcast in more than 60 other countries as well. Its popularity also has fueled a successful series of DVD releases of the shows episodes.
Babylon 5 is the first series of games were announcing as part of our agreement with Warner Bros., said Oleg Petrov, SDFs Executive Director. Babylon 5 enjoys phenomenal devotion from viewers around the globe and we expect the game to appeal to those faithful viewers and the gaming market as a whole. We think Babylon 5 is a perfect premise for great games. Well be announcing more details about the specifics of our first Babylon 5 game in coming months.
